Help to complete the wiki[]

You can help to complete pages of the wiki by consulting the "progress star" rating. The progress star is a color that appear on the top of the page, at the right of the title.

The star progress should be added to all the pages and updated when needed.

You can click on a category to see all the articles in this category. You can check to complete or improve the selected page.

The progress star system use a template. To add or modify a template, check the template section in this page. However, note that the template should always be added to the top firs line of the page, otherwise, the star will not appear at the right place.

Star Code Category To Do
1-gold - Gold star {{Progress|1}} Category:Complete article This article is "complete", there is no "missing information" and the page look good (or look like the other page of the category). This page should not have to be changed (except for improvement or correction).
2-silver - Silver star {{Progress|2}} Category:Good article Almost a "complete" article, but there is obviously some information missing (even if it's not big) or the page can be improved in its visual aspect. Complete the article by adding the needed information. Improve the look of the page.
3-bronze - Bronze star {{Progress|3}} Category:Article stubs There is a lot of missing information or the page layout is a complete mess. Add as much information as you can.
S-special - Pink star {{Progress|S}} Category:Special article Special pages can never be "complete". These pages can always evolve (like the trick page). Add content or improve the page if it's possible.

Templates[]

The templates are special pages can be included in an articles. They can be used in two different ways.

  1. To include some specific information (like a picture and some text) in a shorter way. Instead of adding the picture and the text, you only add the template, and you are sure that it will always look the same.
  2. To include a specific layout. These templates need to have additional values in order to work. You can change any of these values in order to change the content of the template.

The templates looks like a green puzzle in the edit page.

Add a template[]

The simple templates can be added by writing the code directly in the page. They will be converted in green puzzle the next time you edit the page or after a preview.

A template code is always between bracket like these : {{}}. If you have available parameters, they will be listed like this {{template name|parameter}} or {{template name|parameter name = parameter}}. Some complex and long templates can take many lines (usually one line by parameters).

The second way to add a template is to click on "Template" in the edit menu then:

  1. Select "Other template / magic word"
  2. Click on "Choose another template" in the bottom left corner.
  3. Search for the template (write one letter at the time and you will have a list of the templates starting by these letters).
  4. Click on "insert" or press enter.
  5. If the template have parameters, complete the parameters and click on preview if wanted (may not work for all the templates) then click OK. If there is no parameters, the template will be added.

The last way is to edit the source to add the template. In that case, you will have to copy/paste the template and all his parameters fields (if applicable).

Edit a template[]

To edit the template, you only have to click on the green puzzle. If the template have parameters to edit, there is a "edit" link. If there is no parameter, you can only delete the template. You can change the parameters in this screen, click on preview if wanted and confirm with ok.

When you edit a template, it might be important to add a space in any blank cell. If you see text between triple { } brackets, then you must add a space in the specific field. The space must be added on every edit.

Ongoing Contributions[]

This is a list of ongoing contributions within the Wiki. These pages or sections are incomplete and any additional information you can provide would be welcome.

  • Combination Attacks
  • Party Members
  • Walkthrough - Please, please try to match the style of the First Generation and be wary of your Part numbers. I'll be trying to post up my ascii routing lists so that we have an idea of what's required. Please also pay attention to the Talk pages for the different Generations. - Erellisae
  • No but seriously guys if you're going to add to Second Generation, Third Generation, Fourth Generation or Fifth Generation please at least check out First Generation and try to match it? - Erellisae
  • Stat Ranks (Letter Grades) for Party Members that we don't have them for yet. Please drop by my talk page if you want to share some info or help me out with this one. Conjoiner Felka 18:07, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
  • Updating Dungeon information for each generation. Reformatted text for dungeons that were already complete. Dungeons for Gen3 are pretty much done, moving onto Gen4 as I play through. Someone will have to do the DLC dungeons for Gen1 and Gen2 since I already did the dungeons and don't know where the treasure locations are. Faythi 11:14, May 8, 2010 (UTC)
